Introductions

Hi there! February is finally over and though we woke up to unexpected snow today, I know that spring isn’t far away!

For the entire month of March I am going to be posting on different topics so I hope you will follow along. As I have quite a few new followers here I thought I would kick off with an introduction.

I’m Michele. A 50 something mother of 10 (yes, 10 —ages 33-12) married to Tim, my high school sweetheart and the love of my life, not to mention my best friend and biggest fan.

Despite being at home with my children (and home educating most of them) for the last 33+ years, I have always worked beyond that role in some capacity. I have done a lot of different creative things over the years and while I have had a camera in my hand for a good 40 years, it’s really only been the last 5 years or so that I have found my passion in portrait photography. These last several years of intense focus on photography has led me to an incredible experience of creativity and personal fulfillment.

I “see” in pictures. I always have. Concepts form in my head as images and photography has been a way to express that. I see beauty in everything and I love showing it in my photography. Beauty is what inspires and motivates me.

Because I am also an entrepreneur at heart and because I love sharing my passion with other people, I have a portrait studio. I find incredible joy in uncovering the unique spark of every person I photograph. In many cases even taking them on a journey of self discovery, acceptance and love, as I watch them unfold from vulnerability to trust. It’s a thrill yes but also an honor and I feel humbled and grateful to be able to participate in something so amazing.
So that’s me. A snippet anyway. 🙂

Whether you are an old friend or a new one I hope you will say hello and share a bit about yourself in the comments. I love getting to know people and for me the best part of the internet is the connection and conversation. Truly I have met so many amazing people who have added richness and love to my life.
